Liturgy and Prayer Ministries

Altar Server
Lead liturgical procession and assist the presider. Training is provided.
Art & Environment
Kay Mahalik 272-7380 & Jude Phillips 272-6627
Plan and decorate for the seasons of the liturgical year using appropriate liturgical art and symbols to support our prayer. Guided by US Bishops Art & Environment Document.
Bread Bakers
Bake bread for the Eucharist once every three months (recipe provided).
Care of Linens
Collects used linens from the sacristy, washes and irons them at home. Done on a monthly rotating basis.
Drama and Dance

Participate in liturgical dance and/or drama.
Eucharistic Minister
Serves the Body and Blood of Christ to the people of God during liturgy. Training is provided. Assigned on a rotating basis.
Eucharistic Minister to the Homebound
Extend the liturgy by bringing the Eucharist to the elderly and the sick. Training is provided as or if needed.
Gift Bearer
Represents the assembly in presenting our food, bread, wine and our monetary gifts. A good family ministry.
Greeter
Welcomes people at church entrances: attends to those new to our community and worship.
Proclaimer of the Word / Reader

Proclaims the Word of God. Training is provided.
Mass Coordinator

Oversees all liturgical ministers at a set liturgy one month at a time.
Music Minister
Leads the assembly in song through voice and/or instrument.
  • Sat/Sun Group - leads at a particular Mass.
  • Adult Choir - Advent, Christmas Eve, Easter Vigil and Sundays through Pentecost.
  • Taize - leads simple melodic songs on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm.
Prayer Tree Ministry

Notified by phone or email of prayer requests. If by phone, calls next parishioner on list to pass along the prayer request.
Sacristan
Prepares the church on Saturday for weekend Masses. Done on a monthly rotating basis.
Usher

Offer seating assistance; see to the needs of the assembly, aid the gift bearers, assist with processions, help distribute bulletins.
