A stewardship way of life is an invitation to all baptized Christians to live a lifestyle of discipleship. It is a process of conversion as we become more aware that all of life, and all gifts in life, are from God and we are all called to turn our lives over to God and share our gifts with others.

Stewardship calls each of us to prayerfully commit our time, talent and treasure to God and to live that commitment by becoming personally involved in the mission of the Church and God's work in this world.

Who is a Christian Steward? A Christian steward …

Receives God's gifts gratefully - We recognize God as the origin of life, giver of freedom and source of all things. We are grateful for these gifts and eager to use them to show our love for God and one another.

Uses God's gifts responsibly - As stewards we see ourselves as caretakers of all God's gifts. We carefully cultivate our time, talent and treasure, using our gifts to love and serve God and our neighbors.

Shares God's gifts with others - As stewards, we share God's gifts in justice and love with others. We have each received different gifts from God; all of us must share our gifts for the benefit of others.

Return God's gifts in fullness - As stewards, we return God's gifts with increase to the Lord. We give freely of our gifts out of a sense of gratitude and joy.

Each of us - clergy, religious, married, single, young people has a distinct purpose given by our Creator. God calls each of us by name and intends for us to play a unique role in carrying out His divine plan. A stewardship way of life is the investment of our very selves in the mission of the Church. This investment of self is much more than attending Mass and simply putting money in the collection basket. How we live moment to moment as followers of Christ is stewardship.

By living for love of God and others, we live as Jesus and extend the kingdom of God on this earth. Stewardship is about our relationship with God and what we do for one another while on this earth. A life of stewardship is a life of gratitude, accountability and generosity.

Be A Good Steward Of My Time

  • Spend time in prayer
  • Attend Mass regularly
  • Read the bible
  • Pray the rosary

Be A Good Steward Of My Talent

  • Acknowledge my God-given gifts.
  • Engage in Community Service
  • Offer service to my Church
    • Worship - helping at Mass and worship
    • Faith Formation - helping with religious education and faith formation
    • Service - helping with various service activities
    • Parish Life - helping to bring life and hospitality to our Parish
    • Facilities - helping with facilities; maintenance and grounds

Be A Good Steward Of My Treasure

  • Discern my spending habits - How I spend my money says what is important to me
  • Share my treasure - with the Church and community

Above all, let your love for one another be constant, for love covers a multitude of sins. Be mutually hospitable without complaining. As generous distributors of God's manifold grace, put your gifts at the services of one another, each in the measure you have received. (1 Peter 4:8-10)
